Yes. Different short-term access options are available at all stations in the BIXI network and on the BIXI mobile app. For more details, consult the Pricing section of our website.
When you join BIXI with a one-way trip, a 1-day access, a 3-day access, or a 10 One-Way package, there is a pre-authorization hold of $100 per bike. This is not a charge against your credit card, it acts as a security deposit and gets returned to you. Holds can take up to 10 days to get released, depending on your credit card company. The hold release might take up to 30 days with an international credit card.
The 1-year membership and the 30-day membership are offered on the website and the mobile app. If you do not have Internet access, contact our customer service line at 514-789-BIXI (2494) or at 1-877-820-2453 (open 24/7). Please note that you need a VISA, MasterCard, or AMEX credit card to subscribe and that an email address will be requested. However, there will not be a $100 security deposit placed on your credit card.
The short-term access passes are available at every BIXI station kiosk and on the BIXI mobile app. Payment can be made using a VISA, MasterCard, or AMEX credit card. Please note that a security deposit of $100 per bike is placed on your credit card. This hold can take up to 10 days to get released, depending on your credit card company. With an international credit card, the hold can take up to 30 days to get released.
For BIXI members, usage fees (if applicable) for trips longer than 45 minutes are billed on the 20th day of each month. You will receive an email each month letting you know when your online statement is available. Your statement can be viewed when you sign in to your online BIXI space. For a short-term access, usage fees (if applicable) for trips longer than 30 minutes will be billed to your credit card at the end of the short-term access pass.
Credit cards and prepaid credit cards are accepted payment methods for members. You may subscribe without owning a credit card by becoming an additional member. The account holder whose credit card is associated with the account will complete the subscription form for an additional member and purchase a membership for you. The account holder becomes responsible for the account and financial transactions of all the members on their account.
This option has been created to allow one person to be financially responsible for several members. The owner of the credit card pays the membership fees and usage fees of all additional members. This person becomes responsible for the account and financial transactions of all the members on their account. That is what we call Additional Members. The account holder may add several additional members. Only the account holder can renew the additional members’ memberships. If one of the additional members loses a bike, the fees will be charged to the account holder’s credit card. On the 20th day of each month, the account holder will receive a statement with usage fee details for each additional member.

You may also get a new BIXI key for free at one of the 16 service points of the STM. In the meantime, you always have access to your membership with the BIXI app and with the credit card associated with your account.

Trip between 30 and 45 minutes: $5.25 (access fee) + $1.80 = $7.05
Trip between 45 and 60 minutes: $5.25 (access fee) + $1.80 + $3.00 = $10.05
Trip of 1 hour 5 minutes: $5.25 (access fee) + $1.80 + $3.00 + $3.00 = $13.05

You may make as many trips as you'd like while your membership is active, and as long as they are all under 45 minutes in length, you'll only pay the membership cost. Trips longer than 45 minutes incur usage fees on top of the system access fee.
With a one-year membership (excluding the $97 membership fee):
Trip of more than 45 minutes: $1.80
Trip of 1 hour 1 minute: $1.80 + $3.00 = $4.80
Trip of 1 hour 16 minutes: $1.80 + $3.00 + $3.00 = $7.80
