The 300 BIXI stations are made up of bike docks and a pay station equipped with solar panels that powers the entire station. You can’t get more ecological than that! To reduce energy consumption to a minimum, all station components go automatically into "sleep" mode when not in use. Touch the screen of the pay station, enter your code on the keypad of the bike dock or simply insert your BIXI-key into the reader to immediately "wake up" the station.

Pay station
The pay station is the payment terminal for 24-hour access, as well as serving many other practical functions. To start, touch the screen and follow the instructions.
Bike docks
Bike docks are the supports for the locking mechanism of the bikes. You can unlock bikes in two ways:
- by entering the five-digit code obtained at the pay station by 24-hour access users,
- by inserting a BIXI-key in the reader.
The lights
The light turns yellow (during processing) and then turns green to indicate that the bike is unlocked (when taking a bike) or properly locked in (when returning a bike). The light turns red if the code or the BIXI-key are invalid or if we have been notified that the bike is defective. If either operation fails after several attempts, simply try another bike dock or contact customer service at 514-789-BIXI (2494) or at 1-877-820-2453.
The bike dock is also equipped with a button that allows you to notify us that a bike is damaged.
